Multiple leaf like lobes, bright orange, becoming paler with age, to about 15 cm across

Parasitic on Stereum hirsutum, on dead wood from broadleaf trees
Spores ellipsoidal, smooth (5.5-9) x (4.5-7) µm2
This fungus is macroscopically very similar to Tremella mesenterica. The relative occurrence of the two species is unknown, and many records of the latter fungus may be misidentifications.
