Species

Lactarius cyathuliformis

Distribution

Unknown, but according to the British Basidiomycota Checklist, it is probably fairly common, but rarely reported as it is easily mistaken for other species

Edibility

Unknown

Notes

This fungus can be confused with Lactarius obscuratus. I based the identification of the specimens shown on measurement of spore size, with spores mounted in tap water rather than stain, to avoid possible stain induced swelling/contraction.
