Microscopic Features

Spores ellipsoidal to cylindrical, smooth (5-8) x (2.5-3.5) µm2. Basidia 4 spored, narrowly club shaped. Cystidia of two types. Asterocystidia narrowly cylindrical with a star shaped crystal at the tip. Halocystidia cylindrical with a swollen head surrounded by a halo like structure.
