Microscopic Features

Spores fusiform, smooth (16-22) x (4-5.5) µm2. Gill edge cystidia clavate to ventricose. Basidia 4 spored, clavate.

Notes

This species could be confused with Lepiota clypeolaria. The two species are easily distinguished by examination of the spores.
