Convex, expanding with age, pale lilac when young, then whitish to ochraceous, silky, to 9 cm wide

Adnexed, broad, brown with a violet tinge when young

Equal to club shaped, base sometimes bulbous, colour as per cap, usually with rust veil remnants especially at the apex
